FAQs
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a secure, encrypted connection over the internet. It allows one to connect to a network from a remote location.
A common example is remote employees connecting to the office network to access resources as if they were there.
We offer the option to configure your gateway device to automatically switch to a backup internet provider that is already setup and ready to go when the primary provider has an outage. This ensures near-continuous internet connectivity when your business operation depends on it.
As an example, if the primary provider is fiber, the system can be configured to automatically switch to broadband cable, StarLink, or even cellular. For cases when a lower cost backup option has bandwidth or usage limits, the system can automatically throttle or suspend services that are not mission critical during this temporary period (such as Guest WiFi). As soon as the primary internet service is restored, the system will automatically transition back to normal operation.
We will help you choose based on providers available in your area and your preferences in terms of cost and speed in support of your business continuity objectives.
